Tired of the same old packaged Pop? Maybe you should make room for Miggs an all new band who describe their sound as timeless pop rock. With roots in both New York and LA, Miggs is sure to blow up like nobody’s business. Though newly formed, each individual band member has had extensive musical experience and the chemistry is immediately evident. On “Lie to You” the urgency in lead singer Don Miggs’ delivery is sustained by fellow bandmates, Mark Baker, Jason Gianni and Mike Muller. The tunes are immediately accessible and recognizable, and though the universal theme of relationships is woven throughout their latest effort Anyway, you have to credit Miggs for avoiding the usual pop cliché blandishments. The lyrics are direct and forthright and Miggs imbues them with just enough honesty and hurt to make them genuine without waxing maudlin.
Though surely set to please the college crowd, Miggs’ universal sound can just as equally find a home on the campus pub as it can on the airwaves.
